Resurrection Catholic Church & School

Resurrection Catholic Church & School is a vibrant Catholic community that came together in 1963 and continues to grow every day in members and in Faith. Our school has excelled in providing children a rich educational and spiritual environment. Our parish is a warm, encouraging and inspiring place to call home.  We look forward to many years of continuing service in the Lakeland Community.

Nourished by Word and Eucharist, we live to Know, Love and Serve Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord!

Father Mark and Father Jose have messages to share with you!
Please watch them on our YouTube channel.

Bishop Noonan has asked that we all join him via livestream during Holy Week for the Chrism Mass, the Sacred Paschal Triduum - Mass of the Lord’s Supper, Passion of the Lord, and the Easter Vigil (links below).  Your Resurrection clergy will be celebrating Mass on these days as well to pray for each of you and for our community, but per the request of the Bishop, these Masses will not be available on our Parish YouTube channel.  Please join in solidarity with one another and our brothers and sisters throughout the Diocese while knowing that your priests are also remembering you in a special way in your church home.

An Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in Battle;
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the power of God, cast into Hell,
Satan and all the other evil spirits,
who prowl through the world,
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

We know that you are making plans for your own homes and families, but if you are able to share any non perishable foods, please drop them by the Parish Office during regular office hours (M-F 8am-4pm). Thank you!!

We turn to Mary, Mother of God, our Patronness,
and pray the prayer which Pope Francis offered on March 11:

O Mary,
you always shine on our path
as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick,
who at the cross took part in Jesus’ pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman People,
know what we need,
and we are sure you will provide
so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting
after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform to the will of the Father
and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who has taken upon himself our sufferings
and carried our sorrows
to lead us, through the cross,
to the joy of the resurrection.
Under your protection, we seek refuge, Holy Mother of God.
Do not disdain the entreaties of we who are in trial,
but deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.  Amen.
